OUR STORY

Every family wants more for their child. So did we.

You want your child to be known, not just as a student, but as a person. You want an education rooted in faith, where character matters as much as academics, and where your family feels like part of something bigger than a classroom.

That's exactly why Alliance Christian School exists.

Read below to discover the story, history, and heart behind Alliance Christian School, and how God has faithfully guided us to where we are today.

Decades of Faithfulness.
One Clear Mission.

Our roots go back to 1976, when Berks Christian School opened its doors as a ministry of Exeter Bible Church, and to 1980, when West-Mont Christian Academy was founded by the Pottstown Youth Centre.

For decades, both schools served their communities with the same conviction: that a Christ-centered education changes the trajectory of a child's life.

Over the years, each school grew, adapted, and earned the trust of hundreds of families. Both became fully accredited, Berks Christian through ACSI and the Middle States Association in 2018, and West-Mont through the same organizations since 2002.

Two Schools. One Shared Purpose.

For more than 20 years, Berks Christian and West-Mont had a quiet, faithful partnership, sharing professional development, collaborating on performing arts, and learning from one another. When leadership transitions brought the two schools even closer in 2018, both boards began asking a bigger question: Could we serve families better by working more closely together?

When COVID-19 shut down schools across Pennsylvania in March 2020, that partnership was put to the test. The two schools immediately coordinated their response and transitioned to distance learning, the very next business day. It was a defining moment that made the path forward clear.

By summer 2020, both boards voted to formally unite under one school system. And for several years, families across both campuses experienced the benefits, expanded athletics, stronger performing arts, and broader student services.

A Hard Decision.
A Healthy Future.

Running two campuses well takes more than vision, it takes resources. As enrollment pressures mounted post-COVID, the board faced a choice that many small Christian schools across the country have had to confront: How do we ensure this school is still here for families ten years from now?

In 2024, after careful discernment, the board made the difficult decision to consolidate to a single campus. It wasn't the ending anyone imagined. But it was the responsible, faithful choice, and it has positioned Alliance Christian School for a stable, sustainable future.

Today, Alliance Christian School continues to experience strong enrollment, with some grades reaching capacity and growing interest from families seeking Christ-centered education. The school is healthy, and the mission is clear.

OUR MISSION

Alliance Christian School is a faith-driven community dedicated to partnering with families to provide an education rooted in the Word of God. Our mission is to equip students to reflect Christ-like character in all aspects of their lives — heart, mind, and service.

Respect — We honor one another. "So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them." — Matthew 7:12

Integrity — We emphasize truth in all things and in all relationships. "Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the LORD." — Psalm 119:1

Service — We reflect Christ's love by putting others first. "Whoever would be great among you must be your servant." — Mark 10:43

OUR CORE VALUES

This Is the Place We've Been Building for Your Family

Nearly 50 years of history. Two schools. One merger. One campus. And one unwavering belief, that your child deserves an education that shapes not just what they know, but who they become.

We'd love to show you what that looks like up close.
