For the rest of this school year, around the beginning of each month, I hope to share a written prayer on the blog - something that we can pray together wherever we are. Many of the readers of this blog are part of the ACSD prayer team, and I thought it might be meaningful and effective for us to have shared words that we can use to unite more deeply in prayer. Of course, feel free to adapt them as you see fit. Perhaps some of these prayers can even be useful for you to use as you lift up other people or groups of people in your lives. Or perhaps you will feel inspired to write your own prayer - if so, please feel free to share it with me!
For this month, the prayer I am sharing is one I wrote. I tried to cover all of the people who have some kind of connection to ACSD, and the prayer is framed around the idea that this whole ministry belongs to the Lord and we are relying on Him to lead us and work in and through us. No matter how you decide to use this prayer, I hope it is a blessing to you.

God, we acknowledge You as our Father, the One who is holding each of us individually, us as a team and this entire school community in Your hands.
For our students, bless them in Jesus' name.
For their parents, grandparents, and families, bless them in Jesus' name.
For our teachers, admin and support staff, bless them in Jesus' name.
For our board, donors, prayer team and volunteers, bless them in Jesus' name.
For our coaches, assistant coaches, and fans, bless them in Jesus' name.
For our alumni and everyone else in our community, bless them in Jesus' name.
For the children we're sponsoring and their community, bless them in Jesus' name.
Lord, You promise to give wisdom generously to those who ask. Grant us wisdom today.
You have created us to do good works that You have prepared for us to do. Lead us to those good works.
You are our Provider, the One who makes things grow. Show us how to do our part in this process.
Holy Spirit, You promise to teach us and remind us of all we need to know. Help us to listen.
You say that as we reflect Your glory, we are being transformed. Transform us and this whole district for Your glory, and let today be part of that.
We pray in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Amen.
Thanks for taking the time to read this blog and pray for Alliance Christian School District! Lord willing, I plan to publish a new blog post weekly throughout the school year. Feel free to subscribe (at the bottom of this page) if you'd like to be notified each time a new blog post has been published. We also have a prayer team that is always open for new pray-ers to join. If you'd like to learn more, email me at cwarner@alliancechristian.org.
