To EQUIP you as parents…

A bit of housekeeping help: Have you ever felt overwhelmed trying to keep your house in some kind of order? How about keeping it in order now that it's summer and the kids are home all day?? Dana K. White offers practical help and wisdom for anyone who struggles in this area, and her final episode before taking off for the summer was called "Back to (Or Start with) the Basics". She helps to bring clarity to all of us about what the basics are and why they are incredibly important.

A bit of inspiration to combat summer boredom: "I'm bored!" - the two words parents hear perhaps more frequently in the summer. Below are a few ideas to try the next time one of your kids expresses his/her boredom (or perhaps even bring them out preemptively!), shared from Jennie Allen on her Theolaby Instagram page.

To ENRICH you in your walk with Christ...

Some bits of bite-sized preaching from Tim Keller: While we mourn the loss of Tim Keller here on earth, we can still be blessed through much of the writing and preaching he left behind. Earlier this year, his organization "Gospel in Life" began releasing a series of videos going through each book of the Bible to "find threads of the story of the gospel". Each one is only about 10 minutes in length - short but powerful!

A bit of biblical encouragement: The goal of the Daily Grace podcast is "for women to know that deep Bible study, sound doctrine, and rich theology are not just for the seminary student or pastor, but are accessible and transformational for all believers". Although geared toward women, this podcast could be encouraging for all believers who want to go deeper in their walk with God.

To help you ENGAGE with your kids...

A bit of bird watching fun: If you've been looking for a way to easily identify the birds you see or hear in your backyard, local park, or wherever you may find yourself this summer, look no further! Merlin Bird ID is a free global bird guide with photos, sounds, maps and more. Try it out this summer and enjoy growing your family's knowledge of the many amazing birds God has created!

Some pieces of beloved music on stage: If your family is free this weekend, consider coming out to one of the final performances of The Sound of Music, performed by Servant Stage at Lancaster Bible College. All performances are pay-what-you-will, and tickets are available online or at the door. ACSD Alum Brayden Halter (BCS '22) will be playing the part of Rolf, along with many other talented actors/singers.

We hope these bits and pieces are a blessing to you as you continue to follow Jesus in your everyday life. Thanks for allowing us to share!
