Sometimes the simplest prayers have a way of leading us to peacefulness in the midst of chaos. Below is one of my favorite simple, written prayers. May it be a balm for you the next time you feel overwhelmed. And as we continue praying over our upcoming Serve-a-Thon, may we pray these words over all who are serving and all who are being served.
God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference
