Sometimes the simplest prayers have a way of leading us to peace in the midst of chaos. Below is one of my favorite simple written prayers. May it be a balm for your soul the next time you feel overwhelmed. And as we continue to pray over our upcoming Serve-a-Thon, maybe we can pray that these words over all who are serving and all who are being served.
God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
And the wisdom to know the difference.
